Cab driver Charan Sinsiri's passenger was carrying the money to pay for medical treatment for his wife, who is in the final stage of cancer and accompanied him. On arriving there, Mr Charan received a phone call from a man asking about the wallet left in his cab. The passenger had obtained the phone number of the taxi driver from the slip printed out at the taxi kiosk, the airport deputy director said. He thanked the taxi driver for his honesty and gave him a cash reward.
